Bury GPs are migrating to a new computer system at the beginning of November 2021.
This is a major undertaking and will involve a period of computer ‘downtime’ for around 1 week.
During this time, from 27th October, we will be unable to generate prescriptions, or to undertake anything but urgent consultations.
In order to prepare for this and to minimise disruption, please order repeat or acute prescriptions early if they are due at the end of October or the beginning of November. If this is not possible, we will issue 2 months of prescriptions on this one occasion.
If you are aware that you will need routine medical interventions around that time eg medication reviews, blood tests, follow-up consultations, please request these before 26th October or after 3rd November.
